This 45 minute therapeutic treatment is a detailed massage of the scalp, face, neck and shoulders. It helps in the reduction of stress, muscle tension and mental fatigue, while improving your overall well being.

Therapeutic Massage (Swedish/Relaxation/Deep Tissue)
Our most popular treatment.
This therapeutic massage will be tailored to meet the needs of the client. The pressure and approach will be determined after a detailed intake and assessment. Our aim will be to address your problem areas by using appropriate technique and approach. Some of the techniques that may be applied are: Swedish, Deep Tissue, Myofascial Release, Trigger Point Therapy and Stretching. Be sure to communicate with your massage therapist about the pressure you are comfortable with.

This therapeutic massage focuses on the needs of the expecting mother as her body goes through the various changes of pregnancy. This massage will help to relieve stress on weight bearing joints, reduce swelling and promote overall relaxation all while resting comfortably in our pregnancy pillows.
Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) Pre-Natal Massage.
This gentle pregnancy massage helps to relieve congestion in the lymphatic system, by enhancing circulation and stimulating the body's immune system. Relieve heaviness, tightness and fluid retention typically found in the legs. Lymphatic massage will help clear areas of congestion, stagnation and will transform the look of the skin in the abdomen and legs. Focus will be the abdomen, legs and neck.

Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD)
Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) is a precise and light pressure massage therapy technique that works on the lymphatic vessels. This gentle technique rhythmically stimulates and enhances the flow of lymph throughout the body by a manual stretching and release of the skin as performed by skilled and certified therapists. Clients find the technique soothing and relaxing with no side effects.

Frequently Asked Questions
How should I prepare for my first treatment?
You will need to fill in the health history form before you arrive. It will be sent to you by email once you book your appointment.
If you can't do it ahead we do have a paper form in the clinic or we can provide you with an IPAD to complete it electronically. This will require more time, so you will need to arrive 15-20 minutes early. We don't want you to lose time on the table.
Do you offer direct billing to Insurance?
We are set up to direct bill with Blue Cross, Green Shield/Provider Connect & the Telus Portal, which is comprised of over 23 different companies. You can fill in the direct billing form HERE to see if you are eligible, or email us to discuss details. firstname.lastname@example.org
What should I expect from my first massage treatment?
Please arrive 10 -15 minutes before your first appointment. This will allow time to discuss your health history and customize a treatment plan for your current needs. Arriving on time means we get you on the table on time so you get the hands on work you booked in for. After the intake, the technique and approach will be explained and we will begin your massage. We will communicate throughout the massage to make sure you are comfortable with the pressure.
Is there parking close to the clinic?
Yes there is ample parking close to the clinic and clients never seem to have a problem finding a spot! If you didn't walk, cycle or take public transit then you'll want to check out the parking options below.
There is paid street parking on Clarence, Murray and Parent, all under a 5 minute walk.

What is your gift card, cancellation & missed appointment policy?
We are a busy clinic and require 12 hours notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment as the time you booked is not available to other clients. If your appointment is cancelled with less than 12 hours notice or missed you will be charged the following Fee Schedule and/or gift card will be void.
*** COVID CANCELLATION POLICY **** We kindly ask that you inform us as early as possible if you, someone in your family or someone you had contact with are exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19 so we can cancel your appointment. As a result, no charge will be applied for last minute cancellations due to COVID. Please know that your therapist will follow the same guidelines and will inform you promptly if they need to cancel your appointment. Missed appointments will still be subject to late fees.

Please contact us by email to cancel your appointment as this is monitored at all times. If you don't have access to email please call us at 613.241.4434. To avoid you having to pay fees for missed appointments we will do our best to fill your spot with another client whenever possible. Please note this will be at our discretion.
While we understand that "life does happen" and sometimes appointments are forgotten, there is crazy traffic or that meeting comes up, you must understand we suffer income loss due to missed appointments and/or last minute cancellations. We remind clients of their appointments by first sending a confirmation email upon booking followed by a reminder email two days ahead of the scheduled appointment and lastly a text message two hours before your set time (if you have provided a mobile number).
Please be advised missed appointments can't be billed to insurance companies.
You will receive an invoice from Square for the fee owing which can be paid by credit card or e-transfer.
Gift Card Policy Insurance companies do not reimburse for treatments paid by gift card. The receipt you receive for a massage paid by a gift card will read; "gift card redeemed" as per policy by our college. For more from the CMTO click here.

We do not accept cash and we do not keep a float on site to make change.
We only accept e-transfer, debit and credit cards.
Who We Are
Jeannie graduated in 2001 with an honours diploma from ICT Northumberland College School of Massage Therapy in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
With over 19 years of experience, her therapeutic approach revolves entirely around client centered care. She is sought out and respected for her ability to help her clients find relief from pain, recover from injury and relax from the daily grind. Jeannie draws on her considerable expertise to customize each session for individual client needs.
When not in the clinic she focuses on self care with yoga, tennis and has a passion for plant based eating. She cherishes spending time with her family, her dog Sawyer (who is often featured on social media) and of course friends.

Joeli graduated from the Massage Therapy program at Algonquin College, Ottawa ON in 2007. She began massaging with Myobalance in downtown Ottawa at their first location in 2008. In 2013, Joeli began focusing on her home studio. Over the years, she has provided client centred care, offering therapeutic, stress reduction and rehabilitative massage treatments.
With excitement, Joeli is pleased to rejoin Myobalance and be part of this very capable Massage Therapy team. She looks forward to assessing, developing a treatment plan and massaging you today.

Charity graduated with Honours from Algonquin College’s Massage Therapy program in 2004.
